I’ve always had a natural curiosity for computers. As a child, I loved taking things apart and putting them back together. By the age of 11, I was already building computers and researching as much as I could about them. Even going as far as building computers to make a bit of pocket money to cover my troubles. Later throughout my elementary and high school years, I became the kid other students approached about issues with their phones or laptop. I have a deep passion for helping people around me and I found my calling through engineering.
Today not much has changed, I am still the first point of contact for all my friends and family when it comes to technical issues. The main exception is I am now a computer engineering student at the Lassonde School of Engineering at York University. I’m passionate about translating engineering project visions and objectives into reality. As a computer engineering student, I see how engineers have the capabilities and opportunities to help the people around us and make the world a better place.
In my spare time, I run private tutoring for children and help them with many topics. Recently I have started to introduce some students to the basics of robotics, programming, and computational thinking. It's fascinating to see how much the landscape changed from when I started my journey and it's definitely rewarding getting to see the children improve and grow similar passions that I had grown around their age.
